Lesson 3 Practice Exercise Answers

Situation: As the Senior Chaplain assigned at Fort Opportunity, your unit is involved in a mobility exercise designed to evaluate the MOB STA plans, policies, and procedures. To successfully complete your assignment, you must provide a briefing on the status of the MOB STA plans.

1. You are housing basic trainees, receptees, OCS students or patients in a barrack. You know that these people will be housed.

a. at no less than 72 square feet per individual.
b. at not less than 52 square feet per individual.
c. at not less than 36 square feet per individual.
d. at not less than 84 square feet per individual.

Per regulation these people must be housed at not less than 72 square feet, all other enlisted personnel will be billeted at not less than 54 square feet per individual.

2. All active and reserve component units located in CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii, Panama, Puerto Rico, Guam and Virgin Islands are

a. Included in the MTBSP.
b. not included in the MTBSP but are part of a special OPLAN designed by AMOPS Vol. III.
c. included in AMOPS Vol. II.
d. part of FORMDEPS, Part 3.

As you know, the MTBS is the key document for planning mobilization and deployment of forces. All components are included in the MTBSP output.
