Highlights
The Gaza Strip
- According to OCHA, following the withdrawal of Israeli Forces from parts of the Gaza Strip under the ceasefire agreement, Israeli military strikes near or east of the so-called "Yellow Line" continue to be reported, resulting in casualties. Access to the sea remains prohibited. In areas beyond the "Yellow Line," where the Israeli military remains deployed (over 50 per cent of the Gaza Strip), daily detonations of residential buildings continue to be reported and access to humanitarian aid, public infrastructure and agricultural land remains restricted or altogether barred.
- The Ministry of Health (MoH) reported, according to OCHA, that since the ceasefire, 280 Palestinians were killed, 672 were injured and 571 bodies were retrieved from under the rubble. According to UNICEF, this includes at least 67 children killed in "conflict-related incidents" since10 October 2025, at a rate of two a day.
- As of 23 November, UNRWA operated 349 temporary learning spaces (TLS) across 64 shelters, providing in-person learning activities for over 47,000 children boys and girls, including in the northern area and Gaza City.
- UNRWA partially resumed operations in one medical facility in North Gaza, marking the first operational medical facility in the area since the ceasefire.
The West Bank including East Jerusalem
- As the international community marked World Children's Day on 20 November, more than 12,000 Palestine refugee children remain forcibly displaced in the northern West Bank, unable to return to their homes in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams camps. The Director of UNRWA Affairs, West Bank Field Office, released a statement marking World Children's Day.
