The Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations welcomes the adoption of Security Council Resolution 2803 regarding the situation in Gaza, as an important step towards solidifying the ceasefire agreement, putting a definitive end to the war, and initiating the implementation of the second phase of the agreement. This will allow for addressing the current humanitarian crisis and creating the conditions for launching the reconstruction process.

The Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Morocco highly values the consistant efforts undertaken by the United States of America, which presented this historic UN resolution, and the personal engagement of His Excellency President Donald Trump, whose role was decisive in building an international consensus to halt the war, thereby ending the suffering of the Palestinian people and opening serious political prospects for realizing the aspirations of the peoples of the region for security, peace, and stability.
The Kingdom of Morocco - whose Sovereign, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God Assist Him, chairs the Al-Quds Committee - remains committed to its principled and steadfast position, centered on the two-State solution as the only strategic option for achieving just and lasting peace in the region, through the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian State on the 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital - of which Gaza is an integral part - living side by side with the State of Israel in peace and security.
Furthermore, the Permanent Mission reiterates the readiness of the Kingdom of Morocco to contribute to all international efforts aimed at activating the upcoming phases of President Donald J. Trump's Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, including the reconstruction of Gaza and support for Palestinian institutions, stemming from the values of solidarity that remain firmly embedded in the policy of the Kingdom of Morocco towards the Palestinian cause.
