Iran, Afghanistan foreign ministers discuss bilateral ties, Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions

Tehran, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone call on Monday with Amir Khan Muttaqi, the foreign minister of Afghanistan's Taliban-led government, to discuss the state of bilateral cooperation and recent developments in relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Araghchi underscored the need to promote peace and stability across the region and called for stronger consultations and coordination among neighboring countries.
Muttaqi, for his part, welcomed ongoing regional dialogue and thanked Tehran for its diplomatic efforts.
