OIC Condemns Arson Attack on a Mosque in Salfit Governorate and Warns of Escalating Settler Crimes

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a mosque in Salfit Governorate by extremist settler groups. It affirmed that this criminal act constitutes a blatant provocation of Muslim sentiments worldwide and an attack on the sanctity of places of worship, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions.
The OIC warned of the dangerous and systematic escalation of attacks and crimes perpetrated by extremist settlers, under the protection and with the support of the Israeli occupation forces, throughout the West Bank. These attacks are a direct result of policies of incitement, extremism, racism, and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.
The OIC called upon the international community to take action to ensure that all perpetrators of these crimes are held accountable, to end the impunity enjoyed by the Israeli occupation, and to criminalize the defamation of religions and the desecration of holy sites.
