Bern, 06.11.2025 -- National Armaments Director Urs Loher held work discussions on the ongoing procurement project ADS 15 with representatives from the company Elbit Systems Ltd.
The National Armaments Director Urs Loher met with representatives from industry in Tel Aviv on 5 November 2025. The focus was on exchange with the supplier Elbit Systems Ltd. (Elbit) regarding the ongoing procurement project Reconnaissance drone system 15 (ADS 15).
The DDPS decided on 4 September 2025 to continue the procurement project ADS 15 without the automatic evasion system, the system for GPS-independent starts and landings as well as the system for deicing. Elbit has promised substantial concessions as compensation for renouncing the three functionalities, including assuming the fixed costs of the service contract for up to eight years. The details are to be regulated in an addendum to the contract.
