Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) has strongly condemned Israel's recent strike on Doha, voicing full support for Qatar and urging the international community to confront the "Israeli aggression."
Speaking to the Saudi Shura Council (the Consultative Assembly) on Wednesday, bin Salman emphasized that Saudi Arabia "rejects" the Israeli attack on Hamas officials in Qatar.
The Crown Prince urged Arab, Islamic, and international bodies to take collective action in response to the "Israeli aggression."
He reiterated that Gaza belongs to Palestine and the rights of its people "cannot be taken away by any aggression."
Reaffirming Saudi Arabia's position, bin Salman pledged that the Kingdom would stand by Qatar "with no limits" in all necessary measures to safeguard the country's sovereignty.
His remarks echoed a phone call with the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, a day earlier, during which he condemned the strike as a "criminal act" and a flagrant violation of international law, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
In a further show of support, bin Salman is due to travel to Doha on Thursday.
The Israeli strike, which targeted senior Hamas leaders, constituted a direct attack on Qatari territory, marking a significant escalation since the outbreak of the Gaza genocide on October 7, 2023.
Qatar has been a key regional mediator in negotiations between the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas and Israel.
Six people were killed in the Tuesday attack that hit a building in Doha where Hamas officials were discussing Gaza ceasefire proposals.
The Israeli attack was condemned by world leaders, regional resistance groups, as well as many international and religious organisations.
