The Yemeni Armed Forces have carried out a series of strikes against strategic sites deep inside the Israeli-occupied territories in reprisal for the Tel Aviv regime's ongoing genocide and deliberate starvation of Palestinians in Gaza.

Spokesperson for the Yemeni military, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced in a televised statement on Monday that the drone unit of the army conducted a qualitative military operation against Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Ramon Airport near the city of Eilat and a sensitive facility at Dimona city in the Negev desert, using three home-grown drones.

He underlined that the operation attained its desired objectives.

Saree also hailed Palestinians for the recent retaliatory operations in occupied East al-Quds and the besieged Gaza Strip, stating they show the robustness of the Palestinian nation and the full preparedness of its young generation for such acts.

The operations, additionally, expose the abject failure of the Zionist entity's security apparatus, no matter how sophisticated it might be, the Yemeni military official further noted.

Saree concluded that Yemeni forces will continue their attacks against Israeli-affiliated targets until the genocidal campaign against Palestinians in Gaza ceases and the crippling siege on the coastal sliver is lifted completely.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli Channel 14 television channel reported that an explosion had ripped through Ramon Airport as a result of a Yemeni drone strike. Witnesses said a powerful blast was heard across the area.

Hebrew-language media outlets said sirens were activated in the vicinity of the airport, with Israeli authorities closing the airspace around the facility.

Additional air raid sirens were sounded in the southern Negev region amid concerns of a potential drone infiltration near the Dimona area and the Rotem industrial zone.

The development came less than a day after a Yemeni unmanned aerial vehicle breached the airspace over the Israeli-occupied territories, penetrated Israeli air defenses, and struck its target at the same airport.

In light of the worsening genocidal war in Gaza that started in October 2023, Yemeni forces executed a strategic maritime blockade intended to obstruct the delivery of military resources to Israel while urging the global community to address the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Concurrently, they conducted multiple missile and drone attacks on key targets located in the Israeli-occupied regions, demonstrating their support for the Palestinians in Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have stated unequivocally that they will continue their operations until Israel puts an end to its ground and aerial assaults in Gaza.

The war in Gaza has killed over 64,500 Palestinians, most of them being women and children.
