Poland's and US' chief diplomats discussed Polish-American cooperation in security and energy as well as topical items on multilateral agenda, including joint action for a lasting and just end to the war in Ukraine. The meeting took place on 2 September in Miami.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, along with his American counterpart Marco Rubio, will also participate in the ceremony to award the Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Prize to a representative of the Cuban opposition. The distinction is awarded for outstanding achievements in promoting and defending democracy and civil liberties. The Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Prize was established in 2014 on Minister Radosław Sikorski's initiative and has been relaunched in 2024.
