Tehran, IRNA -- President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for swift international action to stop Israel's "rogue" behavior after the regime killed Yemen's prime minister and several other officials earlier this week.

In a message on Sunday, the Iranian president extended condolences to the Yemeni people and Muslims worldwide over the martyrdom of Ahmed al-Rahawi and several other Yemeni ministers, who were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the capital, Sana'a, on Thursday.

Pezeshkian said "the terrorist crime" committed by Israel once again revealed "the vile and criminal nature of the gang ruling the occupied Palestinian territories," according to the text of the message released on his official website.

He called the regime the biggest threat to peace, and urged swift international action to stop its law-breaking behaviors.

"The international community must act immediately to stop the rogue and lawless behavior of this regime, which now stands as the greatest threat to peace, law, morality, and humanity," said Pezeshkian.

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf also reacted to the killing of the Yemeni prime minister and other senior officials, saying that their assassination underscored the Israeli regime's consistent history of offenses.
