At the memorial service at the Dutch East Indies Monument in The Hague tributes were paid to those who lost their lives in the Second World War in the former Dutch East Indies.
The King delivered a speech at the commemoration of the liberation of the Dutch East Indies, marking 80 years since Japan's capitulation.
