The aid will include essential medical supplies for treating patients, water purification equipment, gloves and face masks, as well as special hygiene kits to prevent cholera. At the instruction of Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar - Israel will provide urgent humanitarian aid to South Sudan

In light of the severe humanitarian crisis in South Sudan, and under the guidance of FM Sa'ar, MASHAV - Israel's national aid agency at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - will deliver urgent humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations in the country.

South Sudan is currently struggling with a cholera outbreak and facing a severe shortage of resources. The aid will include essential medical supplies for treating patients, water purification equipment, gloves and face masks, as well as special hygiene kits to prevent cholera. In addition, food packages will be distributed.

As part of the aid operation, MASHAV will cooperate with IsraAID, an Israeli NGO active in the country.

Recently, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar hosted South Sudan's Foreign Minister, Monday Semaya Kumba, in Jerusalem, where they discussed the humanitarian crisis in South Sudan that is worsening due to the influx of refugees fleeing the war in Sudan.

Israel stands by its friends in their time of need.
