The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 60,138 since the start of Israel's military aggression on October 7, 2023, the territory's Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
According to a report cited by the Palestinian news agency SAMA, 104 people were killed and 399 others wounded in the past 24 hours as Israeli strikes and food insecurity continued to take a heavy toll on the population.
Among those killed were 60 individuals who died near food distribution centers, described by officials as part of the "Hunger Campaign" fatalities. The ministry said the total number of aid-seekers killed while trying to access food had reached 1,239.
The report also noted that since March 18, 2025, when the Israeli regime broke the ceasefire, at least 8,970 people have been killed and 34,228 injured in Israeli attacks.
Seven additional deaths caused by malnutrition and starvation were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of such deaths to 154, including 89 children, the ministry added.
