The government in the Gaza Strip has slammed the Israeli regime over the deadly food crisis on the enclave, demanding an "immediate end to the famine" created by the zionist forces in the blockaded Palestinian territory.
Gaza's Government Media Office called on the Tel Aviv regime to immediately open all of the crossings to the Palestinian territory and end the man-made famine.
It demanded that the Israeli regime forces allow the entry of baby formula as part of 500 aid trucks and 50 fuel trucks daily to stave off the "disaster" in Gaza.
"We demand the formation of an international commission to investigate the systematic starvation crime," it said in a statement.
It also called for the arrest of Israeli "war criminals", including soldiers vacationing in or travelling to countries around the world.
"We hold the Israeli occupation, the US administration, and countries involved in genocide, such as Britain, Germany, and France, as well as the international community, fully responsible for this historic crime," Gaza's Government Media Office said in the statement.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, hospitals recorded nine new deaths due to starvation and malnutrition over 24 hours, raising the total number of starvation deaths to 122.
Gaza's Government Media Office confirmed the death toll from famine and malnutrition in Gaza has risen to 122, including 83 children.
Meanwhile, head of the UN aid organization for Palestine issued a warning this week calling for worldwide action to address Israel's ongoing blockade of aid to the Gaza Strip.
Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said the international community's inaction in this regard equates to complicity in the starvation of the people of Gaza.
Philippe Lazzarini said the Israeli regime forces have banned UNRWA from bringing humanitarian aid into Gaza since March.
Lazzarini described the deteriorating situation in Gaza as a man-made crisis, facilitated by the impunity afforded to the Israeli regime.
The UN official insisted that to stop the starvation of Palestinians in Gaza, urgent need for political intervention was required.
"Only political will and leadership can reverse full-fledged starvation," Lazzarini pointed out.
The US-Israeli genocide, which began in October 2023, has so far killed more than 59,580 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
