Question: Would you comment on the escalation on the Thai-Cambodian border?
Maria Zakharova: The Russian side expresses its concern over the escalation of the conflict and calls on all the parties to exercise restraint and start a dialogue in order to resolve the Thai-Cambodian issues by peaceful means.
We believe that many territorial disputes arise from the West's colonial policy. We also adhere to the position that, in the context of the deteriorating general situation in the Asia-Pacific region, it is important to search for possible ways to resolve existing disputes in the spirit of unity and solidarity inherent in ASEAN.
