Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a senior member of the Political Bureau of Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement, has warned that Yemen will intensify its retaliatory operations if the Israeli regime escalates its aggression against the country.

"Any escalation by Israel against us will be met with a new wave of retaliatory strikes," al-Bukhaiti was quoted as saying by the al-Araby television network on Monday.

He emphasized that the Israeli attacks will not undermine Yemen's ongoing operations against Israel.

"The Israeli strikes against us will serve as a motive to continue our support for Gaza."

His remarks came as Israeli warplanes on Monday carried out new airstrikes on Yemen's Hudaydah port on the Red Sea.

Since the onset of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out numerous operations in support of the war-hit Palestinians, striking targets across the occupied Palestinian territories and targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in those areas.

Yemen has vowed to continue its pro-Gaza operations until the Israeli aggression ends and the brutal siege imposed on the strip is lifted.

The Israeli regime launched the genocidal war after Gaza's resistance fighters carried out the surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in response to decades of bloodshed and devastation inflicted by the Zionist regime on the Palestinian people.

The regime's bloody onslaught on Gaza has killed at least 59,029 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
