Tehran, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has condemned the Israeli regime's intensified atrocities against Palestinians.
Highlighting the escalation of Israeli crimes and the killing of over 100 innocent Palestinians within the past 24 hours, including the cowardly assassination of Mohammad Faraj al-Ghoul, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) and Alaa Azzam, the renowned Palestinian Quran reciter, along with his family, and the continuation of Gaza's food and medicine siege and imposing starvation on residents of Gaza Strip are cruel war crimes.
Condemning the hypocritical actions taken by the U.S. and the Israeli regime in setting up humanitarian aid centers and turning them into a trap for the massacre of innocent and hungry children, he urged all governments and international organizations to take prompt measures to stop these crimes.
Baqaei emphasized that the passivity and indifference imposed by the supporters of the crimes of the Israeli regime for its crimes in Gaza has normalized the most severe violations of international law and weakened joint legal and ethical foundations.
He also stressed the direct responsibility of the supporters of the Israeli regime, especially the U.S., Germany, and Britain in genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.
He emphasized that the continuation of the Israeli regime's impunity with regard to heinous crimes in the occupied territories is the key to the continuation of its crimes and warfare.
