Air raid sirens sound in several areas in the Israeli-occupied territories after Yemeni Armed Forces fired a ballistic missile toward the occupying Zionist entity in retaliation for the regime's ongoing genocidal war against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to Israeli media outlets, the fresh missile attack from Yemen triggered sirens in the strategic Jordan Valley and the northern side of the occupied West Bank on Tuesday morning.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The Israeli military said in a statement that its anti-air missile systems had intercepted the projectile.

The attack came two days after Yemen's Armed Forces carried out a missile strike against the Israeli-occupied territories, halting flights at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv and setting off sirens across Israeli towns and illegal settlements.

Hebrew-language daily newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported at the time that several flights were stuck in the air due to the Yemeni missile, and that four flights were experiencing delays in landing at the airport, and were flying off the coast.

The Israeli occupation army claimed that air defense systems were working to intercept a projectile fired from Yemen as a ballistic missile had been detected heading toward the occupied territories.

Israeli media also reported that air raid sirens sounded in al-Quds, the Dead Sea area and settlements in the West Bank, sending millions of settlers to shelters around midday.

Israel's Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency response service reported no casualties.

As the genocidal war on Gaza escalated, the Yemenis enforced a strategic blockade on essential maritime routes, with the goal of obstructing the delivery of military supplies to Israel and urging the international community to take action regarding the ongoing humanitarian emergency in Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared they will continue their assaults until Israel ceases its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
