India and Pakistan exchanged accusations of launching fresh attacks amid escalating tensions, as international voices urge both sides to show restraint.
The two neighboring nuclear-armed rivals traded accusations on Friday of "numerous ceasefire violations" over the Line of Control (LoC) in the disputed territory.
Scores of people have been killed in the Indian airstrikes and ensuing border shelling in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
Military sources in Pakistan said 77 Indian drones were shot down over two days.
"On May 8, Pakistan shot down 29 Indian drones, while 48 drones were destroyed overnight," Pakistani state television PTV News reported.
It said it shot down five Indian aircraft on Wednesday, a report the Indian embassy in Beijing dismissed as "misinformation".
The Indian army, on the opposite side, said that its forces "repulsed" Pakistani attacks using drones and other munitions overnight and gave a "befitting reply". It claimed Pakistani forces on Thursday targeted three military stations, two in Kashmir and one in the neighboring state of Punjab.
Indian military officials said Pakistani troops barraged their posts overnight with artillery, mortars and gunfire at multiple locations. They said Indian soldiers responded, triggering fierce exchanges until early dawn. Also, New Delhi named two Pakistani nationals as suspects in the April 22 attack and accused Islamabad of being involved in the incident.
Meanwhile, the rising hostilities have prompted global calls for the de-escalation of tensions as the risk of an all-out war between the two nuclear powers grows.
An international fact-checking probe has been launched to find the perpetrators of the deadly April 22 attack that triggered the rising tensions.
The attack left 26 civilians, predominantly Hindu tourists visiting Kashmir, dead. Pakistan strongly rejects India's accusation of being involved in the attack.
