Trapped between killing and starvation, the Gaza Strip has seen one of its bloodiest weeks. Some 289 martyrs fell under the deliberate bombing of civilians; 38 other bodies were recovered; the data of 697 Palestinians, who were martyred earlier, were confirmed; and 5 Palestinians were shot dead by the occupation forces in the West Bank. The OIC Media Observatory for Israel's Crimes against Palestinians reported the killing of 1079 Palestinian martyrs and 900 injured from 22 to 28 April 2025, compared to the martyrdom and injury of 1000 Palestinians prior to April. This reflects the occupation forces' widening of its civilian targets scope.
It is noteworthy that the number of martyrs from 7 October 2023 to 28 April 2025 amounts to 53,242 and the injured over the same period 124,469.
The past week has seen a series of the bloodiest Israeli crimes since the occupation forces broke the ceasefire agreement, chief among them, the bombing of a school sheltering the displaced in al-Tuffah neighborhood, of Al-Saftawi Cafeteria in Bureij refugee camp and of the passing crowds at Al-Jala Avenue as well as putting Mohammed al-Durrah Hospital out of service.
The catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the Gaza strip has ever reverberated worldwide. Palestinian warnings of mass death have been issued; the World Food Program announced that its food reserve in Gaza has run out; the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) denounced the interdiction of Israel, the occupation force, of the entry of aid into Gaza over the past 50 days, considered by the international community the longest period in the history of starving out the Gaza strip. This occurs at a time when Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, highlighted the depletion of medical supplies.
In the West Bank from 22 to 28 April 2025, the occupation forces stormed cities and villages 300 times; arrested 165 Palestinians, including 4 children; killed a child; injured 39 Palestinians, including 7 children; stormed the girls' high school during its raid of Misilyah village in Jenin; demolished 12 houses, four of which are in the occupied Al-Quds, as well as a brick factory, three barns in Al Quds and Hebron, and 10 greenhouses in Jenin; bulldozed Al-Nasbah avenue, east of Yasuf village, and demolished its retaining walls; bulldozed and uprooted olive trees in Salfit and a swathe of land near Jibya village in Ramallah; demolished stone chains and uprooted trees in Al-Jwaya in Masafer Yatta in Hebron; expelled and prevented Palestinian farmers from plowing their land in Qaryut village in Nablus; backfilled four wells in Hebron; and halted the road pavement project between Biddya and Mas-Ha in Salfit.
Settlers carried out seven settlement activities in a week to seize Palestinian lands. They bulldozed lands in Qusra in Nablus and Azzun in Qalqilya; planted trees in seized Palestinian lands near al-Rayhiyya village in Hebron; erected tents near the western entrance to Bruqin town in Salfit and on the lands of Masafer Yatta in Hebron; and placed a fence around an agricultural land plot to set the scene for its seizure and planting in the northern Jordan Valley in Tubas. Meanwhile, the occupation forces ordered the confiscation of a swathe of agricultural land under Silwad town in Ramallah to build a settlement road.
Attacks by settlers totaled 56 in seven days, during which settlers burned 3 cars, 6 agricultural facilities, an estate and a construction workshop, stole 45 sheep and killed some of them in Sinjil town in Ramallah, which was the subject of daily attacks.
Others smashed the windows of a vehicle repair shop, damaged its contents and stole its equipment in Umm Safa village in Ramallah. They damaged and vandalized an irrigation system on a farm in Bardala village in Tubas. They grazed their sheep on agricultural land in Beit Dajan village in Nablus, Yatta town, and Wadi Al-Jwaya area in Hebron.
Some settlers destroyed a school in Zanuta village in Hebron for the second time after it was renovated, and stole its iron doors, educational tools and class partitions. They set fire to residential tents and livestock pens, attempted stealing sheep and damaged agricultural crops in Bardala village in Tubas. Others attacked the guards and employees of the Beit Anan landfill in Al-Quds, shot directly at the waste collection vehicle and its crew, and seized a bulldozer and a motorcycle.
Some settlers cut water pipes supplying Palestinian houses in the al-Auja waterfall community in Jericho. Others damaged water tanks and a water transmission line near Tayasir checkpoint in Tubas, set fire to agricultural land near "Efrat" colony in Bethlehem, stole a tractor on the outskirts of Bazaria village in Nablus and the contents of a house in the Khalet area in Hebron.
As regards attacks on religious places, the occupation forces raided and searched a mosque in the Bir Ayoub area in Silwan neighborhood in Al Quds. The settlers stormed religious shrines over several days in Kifl Haris town. Thus, the Israeli crimes against Palestinians totaled 3,267 crimes in a week, and 250,722 crimes in a year and a half, including the various categories of crimes documented by the OIC observatory, and all Palestinian territories.
