Polish-Moldovan political consultations

Today in Chișinău, Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda held political consultations with his counterpart—Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Carolina Perebinos.

The consultations focused on the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the areas of defence, cybersecurity, strategic communications, energy, and development assistance. The deputy ministers reaffirmed the very good state of bilateral relations, as well as Poland's and Moldova's similar assessment of the most important issues concerning European security and the international situation. Both interlocutors concurred that it is necessary to further strengthen Polish-Moldovan relations.

Additionally, Undersecretary of State Marek Prawda met with Secretary of State for European Integration at the Government of Moldova Rodica Crudu. He was also received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Mihail Popșoi. The diplomats discussed the process of Moldova's accession to the European Union and the challenges linked to the parliamentary election planned
for the autumn.

Talks with Secretary of State Rodica Crudu revolved around the current issues in EU-Moldovan cooperation. The deputy head of Polish diplomacy highlighted Poland's continued support in Chișinău's EU accession talks and confirmed the readiness to assist Moldovan authorities in countering Russian attempts to destabilise the country.
