Lithuania has transferred to Ukraine sights with thermal imaging equipment and trucks

As Lithuania firmly stands by Ukraine by providing military aid, a new batch including trucks, thermal imaging sights and more aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been delivered.

The EUR 80 million assistance package Lithuania put on the table agreed at the Ramstein format meeting last week responds to the most urgent needs of Ukraine and makes up nearly a half of Lithuania's annual commitment of assistance to Ukraine. Lithuania's military assistance is estimated to reach EUR 1 billion this year.

Majors directions of assistance this year are planned to be for urgent needs (air defence, ammunition, drones, drone jamming equipment) while simultaneously developing the Lithuanian defence industry and support to Ukraine's defence industry by financing weaponry production in Ukraine.

Lithuania will also be contributing to the Capability Coalition for Demining that it leads together with Iceland, as well as to other capability coalition it is a member of. Military assistance will also be transferred via international funds and collective initiatives, medical rehabilitation aid to injured Ukrainian troops and training to Ukrainian military personnel will continue to be provided.

Since the breakout of the war, Lithuania has delivered to Ukraine military assistance worth of EUR 769 million. Lithuania's overall support for Ukraine for the long-haul has exceeded 1.5 billion euros.
