- U.S. Central Command conducts airstrikes against multiple ISIS camps in Syria CENTCOM 12 Oct 2024 -- U.S. Central Command forces conducted a series of airstrikes against multiple known ISIS camps in Syria in the early morning of Oct. 11. The strikes will disrupt the ability of ISIS to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against the United States, its allies and partners, and civilians throughout the region and beyond. Our battle damage assessments are underway and do not indicate civilian casualties. We will provide updates as information is confirmed.

- Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov inspects Northern Fleet facilities of military and social infrastructures Russia MoD 12 Oct 2024 -- At the base of the Borey and Borey-A nuclear-powered submarines, Commander of Submarine Force Vice Admiral Anatoly Kovalenko reported to the Russian Defence Minister that the reconstruction of berthing front for the Project 955 nuclear submarines had been over. The updated infrastructure is capable of providing submarines with the necessary power environments, communications, air, and water, which will significantly reduce the wear and tear of ships' machinery and systems during their stay at the base.
