Iran's interim foreign minister says Israel is an evil entity which seeks to endanger security of not only Palestine but the entire Muslim world.
Ali Bagheri Kani made the remarks in a Wednesday meeting with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on the sidelines of an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that was held in the Saudi port city of Jeddah following the Israeli regime's recent assassination of senior Hamas' political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital Tehran.
He said the Israeli regime has carried out several terrorist attacks against many Muslim and regional countries as it considers assassination to be a "strategic policy."
"Officials of the Zionist regime regard assassination as a strategic policy that does not cost them much, so this approach of the Zionists should be considered a threat to all Muslim countries and should be dealt with decisively," the top Iranian diplomat added.
He hailed Pakistan's support for Iran's territorial integrity and national security after Israel's recent aggression and noted that the world public opinion has condemned the regime.
Haniyeh was assassinated in Tehran on July 31, while he was in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Haniyeh's assassination in Tehran followed onother assassination by the Zionist regime that claimed the life of Fuad Shukr, a senior commander of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, in Beirut on July 30.
Israel's terrorist acts come at a time when the occupying regime is waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has killed 39,677 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured more than 91,645 since October 7, 2023.
The Pakistani foreign minister, for his part, denounced Haniyeh's assassination in Tehran and expressed his country's solidarity with and its full support for the Islamic Republic.
He said Pakistan will use its capacity as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the term 2025-2026 to support Iran.
Iran has always adopted a very wise stance and has considerable experience to counter the Israeli regime's threats, he added.
Iran, Algeria must jointly support Palestine: Bagheri Kani
In a meeting with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on Wednesday, Bagheri Kani said Iran and Algeria shoulder a serious responsibility towards Palestine.
The two countries need to improve bilateral cooperation in the international arena to support the oppressed Palestinian people and condemn Israel's crimes, the top Iranian diplomat added.

Bagheri Kani urged all Muslim countries to reinforce coherence to end the Israeli regime's crimes and prevent it from further endangering security in the region.
He expressed hope that Tehran and Algiers will further promote relations in various fields.
For his part, Attaf said the OIC meeting in Jeddah provided an opportunity to for Muslim countries to express solidarity with Iran over Israel's act of aggression.
He added that Muslim countries stand united to support Palestine and fight the Israeli regime.
World must adopt proper strategies to pursue Haniyeh's assassination
The Iranian official said all countries must take a common stance on strong condemnation of Israel's assassination of the Hamas chief in Tehran and pursue the "big crime" in international circles through legal and judicial channels.
In a meeting with Jordan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, the two sides expressed hope that the participants at the OIC extraordinary session will take constructive and effective decisions to put pressure on Israel to end its crime.
The Algerian foreign minister stressed the importance of putting an end to Israel's atrocities in the Gaza Strip to help establish stability and peace in West Asia.
