Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Costa Rican Foreign Minister Arnoldo André to reaffirm the importance of the U.S.-Costa Rica relationship. The Secretary thanked Foreign Minister André for Costa Rica's leadership in promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the region, including as host of the 2025 Leaders' Summit for the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity. The Secretary and Foreign Minister André discussed bilateral cooperation to advance inclusive economic growth, strengthen democracy in the hemisphere, reinforce humane migration management under the framework of the Los Angeles Declaration, and build a safer and more prosperous future in the region.
