On April 4, Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabrielius Landsbergis, continued to attend the NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs meeting in Brussels.

"NATO unity is important, but real actions and concrete results are even more important," Landsbergis said during today's NATO-Ukraine Council meeting in Brussels.

During the meeting, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba presented the situation on the front and Ukraine's most urgent defence needs.

"The relentless bombardment of Kharkiv and the severe shortage of ammunition and air defence systems is a reality to which all members of the Alliance must respond immediately in the coming days and weeks. NATO countries have the resources necessary for Ukraine's victory", Landsbergis also noted.

Landsbergis also participated in the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) Foreign Ministers meeting and NATO's 75th anniversary celebration.

"So many good words have been said today about NATO's achievements throughout 75 years, whereas my country is concerned about the greatest victory of NATO in the Cold War, which enabled my country to reappear as an independent and sovereign country on Europe's map. Unfortunately, it could be that NATO's biggest battles and fights are still in the future.

And we have to be very much prepared for that. Because if those battles come to us and we are not ready, that will be the biggest mistake we can ever have," Landsbergis said at the ceremony.

The global security situation and strengthening cooperation were discussed during the session with the partners of the Indo-Pacific region (Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea) and the EU.
