The Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the American ship "Pinocchio" in the Red Sea with several appropriate naval missiles, the spokesperson for the YAF, Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced in a statement published early Tuesday.
Tehran -ISNA- Brigadier General Saree confirmed that the strike was accurate, vowing that the military operations of the YAF would escalate during the holy month of Ramadan in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and Resistance fighters in the besieged Gaza Strip.
It has been reported on Monday that the US-British aggression aircraft launched 18 airstrikes in the past hours on the provinces of Hodeidah and Saada, west and north of Yemen.
The American and British aircraft hit the coastal province of Hodeidah on the Red Sea with 13 airstrikes. Among the airstrikes, eight targeted the al-Irj area in the Bajil District and the Ras Issa area in the al-Salif District, northwest of Hodeidah.
In addition, three airstrikes hit the al-Jabbana area northwest of the city, and two airstrikes targeted the al-Taif area in the al-Durayhimi District south of the coastal province on the Red Sea west of Yemen.
The US-British aggression aircraft also launched five airstrikes that hit the Takhya area in the Majz District in the Saada Province, north of the country.
On Monday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported receiving a report of an incident 71 nautical miles southwest of Salif, Yemen.
This comes as the Yemeni Armed Forces persist with their operations in the Red and Arabian seas against Israeli and Israeli-bound ships until the cessation of the aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip, as well as against American and British ships in response to the two countries' aggression on Yemen.
