It has been reported late Monday that an American-British aggression targeted the Al-Kadan area in the Al-Dahi district, in the coastal governorate of Hodeidah, overlooking the Red Sea, west of the country, through an airstrike.
Tehran -ISNA- Prior to the aggression on Al-Kadan, the US and British forces launched an airstrike on the Al-Jabbana area north of the city of Hodeidah as well.
The aggression came shortly after the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced that the YAF's Navy targeted two US-owned ships in the Red Sea, confirming direct and precise hits to the vessels.
He said that the two targeted ships were the "Sea Champion" and "Navis Fortuna" bulk carriers.
Saree affirmed that the operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red and the Arabian seas would continue to escalate until the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip ceases.
The spokesperson highlighted that these two attacks mark the third and fourth major operations conducted by the YAF in support of Palestine in the past 24 hours.
Earlier on Monday morning, Brigadier General Saree announced that the Navy conducted a military operation last night, targeting the British ship RUBYMAR in the Gulf of Aden, utilizing several anti-ship missiles. The spokesperson reported that the operation resulted in catastrophic damage to the ship, putting it at risk of sinking.
In his most recent update, Saree said that the RUBYMAR sank. He reiterated that the operation was carried out in support of the oppressed Palestinian people enduring aggression and siege, and in response to the American-British aggression against Yemen.
He emphasized that as part of the operation, the Yemeni Armed Forces ensured the safe evacuation of the ship's crew, underscoring that all personnel had reached safety.
