Iran Foreign Minister and his Syrian counterpart discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
Tehran-ISNA- During a telephone conversation, Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, and his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Mekdad, engaged in discussions regarding bilateral relations and regional developments.
The two top diplomats delved into the positive outcomes stemming from the recent visit of the Syrian prime minister and his accompanying high-ranking delegation to Tehran.
They also touched upon the successful convening of the 15th meeting of the High Joint Cooperation Committee, the signing of new cooperation agreements, and the progressive momentum of bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic and commercial domains.
Furthermore, Amirabdollahian and Mekdad exchanged perspectives on the latest regional developments. Specifically, they addressed the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime against the defenseless Palestinian people. They also reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at immediately halting the massacre of civilians, particularly women and children. The two further underscored the urgent need to provide swift assistance to the Gaza Strip.
