Iran, Lebanon and Tunisia FMs discuss Palestine issue in Geneva

Amirabdollahian who has travelled to Geneva to attend the Global Refugee Forum (GRF) separately met with Lebanon's Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib and Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar at his residence.
Tehran-ISNA- In a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart, Amirabdollahian said constant consultations between the two countries on various bilateral and regional issues have always been constructive, adding, "Iran and Lebanon are on the same front, and Iran only wants the best interests of the Lebanese government, nation and resistance front
The top Iranian diplomat described the situation in the region as complicated, and touched upon the situation in Palestine, adding, "It is necessary that the United States put an end to its unlimited support for the Zionist regime and its war crimes against the Palestinian nation."
Amirabdollahian highlighted the necessity of pressing ahead with utmost efforts to stop the Zionists' genocide in Palestine, adding, "Lebanon has always been one of the key pillars of anti-Zionist resistance in the region."
"Despite the Zionist regime's crimes and brutal killing of civilians with the United States' unlimited support, they have secured no significant achievement, and Palestinian resistance is in a very good condition," explained the Iranian foreign minister.
Amirabdollahian underlined the war against the Palestinian nation will bear nor fruit for the Zionist regime and the United States, adding, "Rather, the war has spread, and if the Zionist regime's strikes do not stop, there is possibility of an explosion in the region, too."
He said the United States' calculations are not correct, adding, "As they did not get any results from the war against the Lebanese Hezbollah, they will secure no advantage from the war against the resistance front in Palestine, either, and the outcome of the war will be the killing of more Palestinian citizens, only."
The Lebanese foreign minister, in turn, said he was pleased with the meeting with his Iranian counterpart, and said consultations between the two sides have always been fruitful and constructive."
He offered his assessment of the ongoing painful situation in Palestine, adding the United States has, by vetoing the UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, technically given Israel leeway to do whatever it wants.
Bou Habib also expounded on the situation in Lebanon, particularly the situation along he country's southern borders with the occupied territories.
Amirabdollahian also in a meeting with Tunisia foreign minister, expressed satisfaction with Iran and Tunisia's strong relations, highlighting their high-level political ties.
He stressed the importance of expanding relations across various domains, including economic, commercial, scientific, technological aspects as well as tourism sector.
He hailed Tunisia's wise stance on Palestine, emphasizing the Islamic Republic of Iran's enduring and influential support for Palestine.
He underscored the imperative for Islamic nations to decisively support Palestine against the ongoing war crimes and brutal attacks by the Zionist regime in Gaza and the West Bank.
Amirabdollahian referenced the blow to the dignity of the Zionist regime on October 7 and its failure to achieve significant outcomes despite committing brutal war crimes against Palestinian citizens in the past two months. He stated: "They lack the capability to dismantle the resistance groups or subdue the Palestinian nation. Currently, America is devising post-war political strategies to compensate for the Zionist regime's defeat, a matter Islamic nations should be mindful of."
He extended an invitation to his counterpart to visit Tehran.
Nabil Ammar, Tunisia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, in turn, expressed contentment with the meeting and emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to elevate relations to a higher echelon.
He stressed the necessity of taking more effective steps toward enhancing ties, particularly in economic and commercial spheres, aligning with their political relations.
He conveyed gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its unwavering support for Palestine.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, he stated: "In Tunisia, we ardently support the cause of Palestine, firmly believing that killing the Palestinian nation won't lead to any gains."
Expressing appreciation for Amirabdollahian's invitation, Tunisia's foreign minister expressed readiness to visit Iran at the earliest opportunity.
