Tehran, IRNA -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has denounced the United States for vetoing a draft UN Security Council resolution demanding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
In a post on his official social media account on Sunday, President Raisi said the United States, by vetoing the Gaza ceasefire resolution, once again demonstrated its role as "the main supporter of the massacre of innocent women and children in Gaza."
On Friday, the US vetoed the UAE-proposed resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, drawing global condemnation.
More than 17,700 Palestinians have been killed in over two months of Israeli aggression against Gaza, around two-thirds of them women and children.
