UNRWA confirms that one colleague was killed during strikes before the start of the humanitarian pause. In total, 110 UNRWA colleagues have been killed since the 7 October.

The humanitarian pause, which entered into force on the morning of 24 November, was maintained for a fifth consecutive day on 28 November, after the decision was taken by Israel and Hamas to extend on the evening of 27 November.

A convoy of trucks delivered humanitarian aid to UNRWA shelters in the northern Gaza Strip. The six-truck convoy reached Jabalia on 27 November, an area that had been cut off from assistance for nearly 50 days. Around 1.8 million people (or over 80 per cent of the population) have been displaced across the Gaza Strip since 7 October.

As of 28 November, nearly 1.1 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) were sheltering in 156 UNRWA installations across all five governorates of the Gaza Strip, including in the Northern area.

Nearly 956,000 IDPs were sheltering in 99 facilities in the Middle, Khan Younis and Rafah areas.
