"Those who do not speak out against Israel's crimes against humanity are just as much an accomplice in these crimes as the perpetrators"

Presidency Of The Republic Of Turkey

15.11.2023

Addressing AK Party's Parliamentary Group Meeting, President Erdoğan said: "Those who do not speak out against Israel's crimes against humanity are just as much an accomplice in these crimes as the perpetrators. The blood of the kids killed in Gaza sticks as a stain of shame to the foreheads of those who provide weaponry, ammunition and intelligence support to the Israeli administration."

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Party's Group Meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT).

Expressing his wish for the group meeting to yield auspicious developments for the country and the nation, President Erdoğan said: "Right at the beginning of my speech, I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate our brothers and sisters in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which marks the 40th anniversary of its foundation, on the November 15 Republic Day. I remember with mercy the heroes who stopped the occupation, slavery and oppression with their heroic fight, and send my greetings to the Cypriot people. As Türkiye, we will continue to stand with the Turkish Cypriots."

"THE PARADE OUR NAVY PERFORMED WITH 100 SHIPS AT THE STRAIT OF ISTANBUL HAD VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGES AND SYMBOLS"

"Our meeting is taking place at a time of unspeakable sufferings in our kindred geography, particularly in Gaza and Ramallah. As the government, we continue to strengthen our country while employing all the means of diplomacy to stop Israel's atrocity," the President noted.

"Since our last meeting, we have been uninterruptedly continuing our journey of serving our country in every area and in a wide range of spectrum extending from city visits to mass opening ceremonies, commemorations and celebrations to the implementation of newly-completed projects, and overseas trips to meetings and talks. With the Grand Palestine Rally, which we held with the participation of 1.5 million citizens at Atatürk Airport on October 28, we as the People's Alliance demonstrated in a very clear manner that we stand with the innocent Gazan people," said the President, and added: "I extend my gratitude to each individual of my august nation whose heart beats for Palestine and for their brethren in Gaza."

Drawing attention to the Republic Day celebrations marking the centenary of the Republic of Türkiye the following day, on October 29, President Erdoğan stated: "The official parade our navy performed with 100 ships at the Strait of Istanbul had very important messages and symbols. Through this parade, which instilled fear in our enemies and trust in our friends, we had the opportunity to stand witness to the capabilities of our military, particularly our navy. We closely witnessed the strength the TCG Anadolu, the world's first-ever UCAV carrier, added to our navy. We of course do not make do with this. We have rolled up our sleeves to build a new generation aircraft carrier that will be the big sibling of TCG Anadolu."

"WE WILL DEFINITELY ACHIEVE OUR GOAL OF A FULLY INDEPENDENT TÜRKİYE IN THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY"

President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: "Works on our 5th generation national combat aircraft, Kaan, which will multiply the capacity of our air force, are still underway. We will inshallah see Kaan take off before the end of 2023. Bayraktar TB3, which breaks new ground in the UCAV technology, has been successfully undergoing various tests. Our general-purpose helicopter Gökbey has completed its 20,000-feet altitude test successfully. The Aksungur UAV has also successfully performed its 30,000-feet altitude flight with its indigenous engine."

Underscoring that Türkiye constantly develops itself in every area including with unmanned systems, air defenses, armored ground vehicles and electronic warfare, President Erdoğan said: "Just as we decreased our country's foreign dependence in this area from some 80 percent to 20 percent over the past 21 years, so we will definitely achieve our goal of a fully independent Türkiye in the defense industry. We don't have the slightest doubt about this. The recent developments in our region have reminded us of the importance and urgency of this matter."

President Erdoğan further stressed: "I have said it previously, but let me reiterate it. If we as the Turkish nation want to live on these lands in a free, dignified and peaceful manner, we must be strong. If we do not become strong in every area with our politics, economy, social structure, military and security, they don't let us live on these lands. As you can also see, the circles that harbor evil intentions towards our homelands expose themselves one way or another no matter how careful they are. Armenia, for example, had run after pipe dreams for many years regarding the lands of our country. It eventually learned its lesson with the Karabakh war and got back to its own business. And now Israeli leaders have started to voice similar delusions. They shouldn't worry at all that their end will be the same as many others who had similar dreams. We will continue to thwart those who incite our neighbors against us, who set the PKK against us, and who insidiously place the FETO inside us. To achieve this, we should first strengthen our unity and solidarity as the nation."

"ISRAEL IS IMPLEMENTING A STRATEGY OF TOTAL ANNIHILATION OF A CITY AND ITS RESIDENTS"

Listing the top issues on the country's agenda as the borders' security, the fight against terror, the people's peace, the resolution of the economic problems, and the reconstruction of the cities destroyed by the February 6 twin earthquakes, President Erdoğan stressed that Israel's brutality in Gaza has been high on their agenda since October 7.

Pointing out that the Israeli administration, enjoying the unlimited support of the U.S. and Western countries, continues its massacres uninterruptedly for exactly 40 days, President Erdoğan said: "Israel, which deliberately targets schools, mosques, churches, hospitals, market places, buildings and streets, is implementing a strategy of total annihilation of a city and its residents."

Noting that the Israeli administration, which displays the savagery of purposefully bombing the civilians on the road after forcing them to flee their homes, is literally engaged in state terrorism, President Erdoğan said: "I am now saying openly and with my heart in peace that Israel is a terror state. Hamas is a political party who entered the elections and emerged victorious. After it won the elections, you usurped its rights. Israel and the U.S. did so together. Let's see these facts."

"ALL TERMS, INCLUDING 'WAR', FALL SHORT OF DESCRIBING WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WITNESSING FOR THE PAST 40 DAYS IN GAZA"

Underlining that children and women account for two-thirds of the nearly 12 thousand Gazans killed by Israel thus far, President Erdoğan stated: "The Israeli administration has been committing the most abhorrent crimes against civilians in the history of humanity. All terms, including 'war', fall short of describing what we have been witnessing for the past 40 days in Gaza. That is so because even wars have morals, ethics, laws and limits."

President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: "The first rule of the law of war is to spare kids, women, the elderly and the sick. Those who massacre the babies in incubators and swaddles, those who shower bombs on the heads of the innocents that they expel from their homes, those who cut off the water, food and fuel of people and doom them to death, those who speak of exterminating over 2 million civilians with atomic bombs... I am calling on Netanyahu from here. Do you have atomic bomb or not? I dare you to unveil it. But you cannot. Israel, you have atomic bomb, nuclear bomb and you are threatening with it. We know this and your end is approaching. It does not matter what you have, you are a goner. In short, those who have lost whatever there is related to morals, conscience and dignity can no longer be a human being, but they can only be lower even than animals."

"HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN DIE UNDER THE BOMBS ON A DAILY BASIS"

Describing what is happening in Gaza as a genocide, President Erdoğan stressed that necessary steps will also be taken at the International Court of Justice regarding the perpetrators of this genocide.

Stating that anyone who says 'I am human' cannot approve of, condone, or legitimize what has been occurring in Gaza, President Erdoğan said: "As we condemn the Israeli administration, we don't forget those who overtly support or who make all sorts of excuses to legitimize these massacres, either. Those who do not speak out against Israel's crimes against humanity are just as much an accomplice in these crimes as the perpetrators. The blood of the kids killed in Gaza sticks as a stain of shame to the foreheads of those who provide weaponry, ammunition and intelligence support to the Israeli administration. Can you imagine it? Hundreds of children die under the bombs on a daily basis; yet, none of those from the European Union or the U.S., who always talk about human rights and freedoms, can come forward and utter one single word. Israel is massacring the journalists, who tell the world the atrocity in Gaza, along with their families and, still, international media outlets do not make even one single statement."

"The United Nations is incapable of defending its own personnel, let alone protect the lives of Gazan civilians. The will the 121 members of the United Nations have displayed at the General Assembly is literally being usurped by one or two members of the Security Council," said the President. "Israeli ministers confess to having nuclear weapons in front of cameras. However, the International Atomic Energy Agency still does not take any action regarding this. Those who allow the unscrupulous to burn the Holy Quran under the pretext of freedom of thought detain, put under arrest, and resort to every method to silence the conscientious people who speak out against the massacre in Gaza. We have witnessed, and continue to witness, many similar double standards, hypocrisy and ruthlessness."

Recalling that heads of state and government from around the world held a rally in Paris following the Charlie Hebdo attack, in which 23 people were killed in Paris, President Erdoğan said: "Now, nearly 13 thousand people have died. Where are the heads of state and government of this world? Why don't you hold a rally regarding this. Don't you have any mercy, any conscience? Let's hold a rally about this? This is a matter of crusader-crescent. This is how we view the issue."

President Erdoğan went onto say: "Gaza has taken down the masks all across the world, unveiling the true faces hidden behind flashy words. This crisis serves as a litmus test not only abroad but also in our country. Even if they have differing political views, the overwhelming majority of our nation have displayed a conscientious, dignified and prudent stance regarding the Gaza issue. We offer our gratitude to all our citizens who object to Israel through various methods within the boundaries of the law and democracy."

"WE CONGRATULATE MEMBERS OF THE PRESS WHO HAVE BECOME THE GAZAN PEOPLE'S VOICE BY EMPLOYING ALL THE TOOLS OF COMMUNICATION"

"We congratulate members of the press who have become the Gazan people's voice by employing all the tools of communication, from social media to newspapers to televisions. Israel has lost the media front of the war it has been waging against innocent Gazan children and civilians despite its dominance of the international media. Hundreds of thousands of people who take to the streets in every corner of the world, from London to Madrid, Jakarta and Islamabad, show that Israel has already been condemned in the humanity's conscience. We greet from here all the friends of Palestine who side with the innocents, no matter what their faith is. If Israel continues its massacres like this, it will make the entire world acknowledge that it is a terrorist state condemned universally. That is so because anyone who tries to prosper through oppression is always doomed to a bitter end," said the President, and stressed: "I don't have the slightest doubt that the Gazans and the Palestinian people will be victorious."

Criticizing those who equate Gazan resistance fighters with such a fanatic as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Erdoğan said: "I am saying it very openly that just because some will be disturbed, we never hesitate to voice the fact that members of Hamas are resistance fighters endeavoring to defend their homeland, dignity and lives against occupation policies."

"WE WILL EXERT THE NECESSARY EFFORTS IN ORDER FOR THE DECISIONS TAKEN TO BE IMPLEMENTED FULLY"

President Erdoğan stated: "Lastly, we expressed our position on the Gaza crisis and our proposals for the solution during the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League held in Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, on Saturday, November 11. We have taken decisions regarding many issues on which an agreement has been reached for the first time, including designating Israeli settlers as terrorists for the first time and monitoring the crimes against humanity committed by Israel, establishing a fund for Gaza's reconstruction and convening an international peace conference without delay, and revealing Israel's nuclear weapons and investigating the use of chemical weapons."

"Our country's proposals and influence have played a decisive role in the inclusion of articles that stipulate concrete steps in the document. Even though there are some points that fall short of our expectations, we will exert the necessary efforts in order for the decisions taken to be implemented fully. As regards humanitarian aid, you also know that we have thus far sent 10 planeloads of aid material to Egypt to be delivered to Gaza. On Friday, we had dispatched an aid ship carrying 666 tons of relief supplies to the region. Our civilian aid ship reached Egypt's Al Arish port on Sunday. We will deliver the aid supplies to the Gazan people through the Rafah crossing in cooperation with our Egyptian brothers and sisters. Our talks are underway regarding the treatment of cancer patients and wounded children in our country," said the President.

"WE WILL INCREASE OUR DIPLOMATIC CONTACTS IN THE UPCOMING DAYS"

"Today, under the auspices of my wife, a meeting is taking place with the participation of the spouses of the heads of state and government from many countries of the world. I offer my gratitude to the distinguished guests coming together in Istanbul for Palestine and peace," stressed the President, and added: "We will increase our diplomatic contacts in the upcoming days. We will call by phone the leaders of the countries who abstained in the Gaza resolution adopted with 121 yes votes at the United Nations General Assembly. In the initial phase, we will continue to isolate Israel in the international arena, while also providing Palestine with every sort of visible or non-visible humanitarian aid. We will take steps to ensure that this country's political and military leaders who 'ruthlessly' massacre Gazan innocents face trial in international courts. We will work to ensure that the terrorists, called settlers, who not only confiscate the homes and lands of the Palestinians and complicate their daily lives but also viciously massacre them on streets are designated with this title in the international arena. We will always keep all the relevant mechanisms operational to ensure that the Islamic world's sensitivity regarding Al Quds, Palestine and Gaza constantly remain alive. Even if we remain all alone, we, just like the ant carrying water to the fire of Prophet Abraham, will never leave the Gazan innocents helpless."
