Tehran, IRNA -- Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Reza Najafi has said that the Riyadh Declaration had no footnotes while providing some explanations on Iran's reservations over the declaration.
Najafi made the remarks speaking to IRNA correspondent on Monday when asked why Iran's name is not in the footnote of the declaration while Iran had expressed some reservations over the declaration.
The so-called image of the declaration published by certain media belongs to the Arab League and is in the formats of the Arab League, the official said, adding that the OIC Declaration was published on the website on the Organization today and it had no footnotes.
Najafi said that Iran has always expressed reservations over issues such as two-state resolution which were also expressed in the recent declaration and were enshrined in the final report.
Defending the professional performance of the Iranian delegation to Riyadh, he called on the media to pay attention to the strong content of the resolution which includes many proposals of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He also urged the need for persuading the international community and the countries to immediately implement the resolutions of Riyadh Summit.
