New York, IRNA -- The Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations has dismissed the US claim that Iran has dispatched a missile fuel cargo from Yemen.

The US Navy has found 70 tons of a missile fuel component hidden among bags of fertilizer aboard a ship bound for Yemen from Iran, a spokesperson for the US Navy's 5th Fleet in West Asia has quoted by the American news agency of Associated Press (AP) as saying.

Iran's Permanent Mission wrote to the AP that claims about Iran's violation of the UN Security Council resolution on Yemen have never been proven.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been faithful to the US Resolution 2216 on the arms embargo on Yemen, the Iranian Mission noted.

Iran has not taken and will not take any measures against the resolution, it said adding that Tehran has active cooperation with a committee that pursues the resolution.

Iran's Permanent Mission makes all-out efforts to help peace talks alongside the revival of the ceasefire to be established soon among the Yemeni groups.
