Readout of Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Colin Kahl's Teleconference With Minister of Defense Radmila Shekerinska of North Macedonia

Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Jamal Brown provided the following readout:

Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Colin Kahl spoke with Minister of Defense Radmila Shekerinska of North Macedonia via teleconference today to reaffirm the U.S.-North Macedonia defense relationship.

The two leaders discussed cyber defense cooperation, countering malign influence, and ways to deepen collaboration to address other challenges facing the Western Balkans.

Dr. Kahl reiterated U.S. support for North Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic integration and expressed his appreciation for Northern Macedonia's contributions to NATO as the newest member of the Alliance.
