Iran, Turkey had undeniable role in peace, stability of region: Araghchi

Tehran (ISNA) - Iranian deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in a message pointed to key role of Iran and Turkey in peace and stability of the region.
Araghchi has arrived in Turkey as the Special Envoy of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to presented Iran's proposal for resolving dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan Republic and establishing a ceasefire to the conflict in Karabakh region.
During the visit, Araghchi met with Turkey's deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Önal in Ankara.
Following the meeting, Araghchi wrote on his official Twitter account, "Frank and productive discussion with Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Önal in Ankara. Iran and Turkey are two major players with undeniable role in peace and stability of the region".
Araghchi has recently embarked on a regional tour during which he traveled to Baku, Moscow, Yerevan and Ankara to explain Iran's initiative for settling Karabakh crisis.
