Secretary of Defense Dr. Mark T. Esper and France Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly spoke by phone today to exchange perspectives on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Both leaders noted the important role the armed forces are playing in the crisis response in each country and discussed the importance of maintaining military cooperation and operations amidst the on-going pandemic. They agreed to remain in close coordination throughout the coming weeks.
