"Deal of the century" an opportunity for Iran: Zarif

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran's Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif described announcement of the "deal of the century" by the United States as a "unique opportunity" for Iran.
"The announcement of the 'deal of the century' by US is a unique opportunity for Iran. When the Zionist regime was planning for the Annapolis and Oslo peace processes, according to the regime's former ambassador to Iran who served in the country before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, it decided to replace Arabs with Iran as the enemy of Israel to be able to make peace with Arabs," said Zarif.
"During the past 12 years, they began a similar process in the Arab world. The regime along with US began a very ominous process to introduce Iran as the main threat against the Arab world and lead it to reconciliation with Israel and accept the regime's maximum demands," Zarif said.
"Trump's plan is the maximum level of the Zionist regime's demands," he stressed.
The top diplomat said, "The embarrassing and hideous reactions by some Arab states towards the plan indicate that they are not able to resist even against Israel's maximum demands. It is now clear for Arabs that the feud replacement was fake".
"As Iran nuclear deal could destroy the image of a warmonger state they had made for Iran in the international stage, the ominous 'deal of the century' would reverse Iran's face as an enemy in the Arab world, if we act correctly," he continued.
