Riyadh, Nov. 18, 2019, SPA -- Statement by the Official Spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, COL Turki Al-Malki: "At (22:58) this Sunday, during sail of the Tugboat (Rabigh 3) in Southern Red Sea, the tugboat fell under Highjacking and armed robbery by two boats boarded by terrorist elements of the terrorist Iran-backed Houthi militia.
The tugboat was tugging a (dredge barge) owned by a South Korean company. This terrorist act reflects the true threat and danger of this terrorist militia on the freedom of navigation and international trade. It is a criminal precedent affecting the security of the Southern Red Sea and Bab-el-Mandeb Strait through highjacking and piracy.
The Houthi miltia is responsible under international law for the safety of the multinational crew of the tugboat. And the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition is continuing to implement strict and deterrent measures against this terrorist militia to maintain regional and international security."
