UN Human Rights Council Adopts Resolution to Continue Providing Yemen with Technical Support

Geneva, Sep 27, 2019, SPA -- The UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution submitted by the Arab States to continue providing Yemen with technical support for capacity building of its Government and the Yemen National Commission of Inquiry, to ensure continuance of its investigations into violations.
The resolution welcomed cooperation between the Government of Yemen, OHCHR and international human rights mechanisms, and takes note of the seventh report of the National Commission of Inquiry.
It called, also, on all parties in Yemen to fully implement Security Council Resolution 2216 of 2015, which will contribute to improving the human rights situation, implementing the Stockholm Agreement and reaching a comprehensive agreement to end the conflict.
