Yemen rejects decision to extend a new term for the team of experts mission in Yemen

Geneva, Sep. 26, 2019, SPA -- The United Nations Human Rights Council today adopted by a marginal majority a resolution extending the Group of Experts Mission in Yemen for another year, while the Yemeni government announced rejection of the resolution and vowed not to cooperate with the Group of Experts delegated to Yemen.

In a speech before the council, Yemeni Minister of Human Rights Dr. Mohammed Askar affirmed Yemen's rejection of the resolution, citing several negative positions of the experience of experts in Yemen.
