Pompeo turning to "max deceit": Zarif

Tehran (ISNA) – Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif reacted to claims made by US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo that Iran was behind the recent attacks on Saudi oil facilities.

Reacting to the remarks by Pompeo regarding the recent Yemeni drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities, Zarif tweeted, "Having failed at 'max pressure', Pompeo's turning to 'max deceit'".

"US & its clients are stuck in Yemen because of illusion that weapon superiority will lead to military victory," he added, "Blaming Iran won't end disaster. Accepting our April '15 proposal to end war and begin talks may".

The tweets came after Pompeo claimed on his twitter account that "Tehran is behind nearly 100 attacks on Saudi Arabia".
