Pentagon Confirms Downing of American Drone, Denounces Iranian Provocation

Washington, Aug. 21, 2019, SPA -- The US Defense Department (Pentagon) announced in a statement today that a security team is investigating the Iranian-backed Houthi attack against a US drone over Yemen, while flying at high altitude in international airspace.
Pentagon added that this action is a provocative act by Iran and its terrorist groups and poses a real threat to the stability of the region.
The statement dislosed that the drone MQ-9 was shot down over the skies of Zamar province, south east of capital Sanaa.
