Yemen captures 20 military positions from Saudi forces in Najran, incurs heavy losses

Tehran, June 5, IRNA -- Official sources in Yemen announced that the country's army have seized over 20 military positions in Najran from Saudi Arabia over the past 72 hours.
Yemeni military and armed forces spokesman Yahya Saree said Wednesday that army and popular committees' forces seized 20 military positions in Najran over the past 72 hours by carrying out massive and surprising assault operations, Saba news agency reported.
He added that the army and popular committees ambushed the Saudi enemy and its mercenaries at the operation from the three axes of al-Suh, Al-Sadis, and west of Al-Sadis.
The military official went on to say, "Over 200 troops and mercenaries of the Saudi enemy were killed and wounded in the operation and dozens were captured. Many of the aggressive forces left their weapons and equipment and fled.
The Yemeni military spokesman highlighted that the Saudi coalition fighters with more than 70 bombardments tried to support its mercenaries, but failed to do so.
The spokesman for the army and the Yemeni armed forces said that the operation was recorded with the cameras of the forces of information department of war, and the pictures will be released soon.
Yahya al- Saree said on Wednesday morning that Yemeni forces managed to capture more than 40 square kilometers of Al Jouf province' lands from House of Saud's mercenary control in their latest operation in northern Yemen.
