  • Navy Chooses Key West for Commissioning Future USS Billings NNS 27 Feb 2019 -- Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer has approved Key West, Florida as the site for the commissioning of the future USS Billings (LCS 15). The event will take place in August 2019. The specific date has yet to be announced.
  • USS Chief visits Jakarta NNS 27 Feb 2019 -- The Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Chief (MCM 14) arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, Feb. 26, for a port visit.
