Bitter crushing defeat forces Saudis to stop merciless air raids on Hudaydah

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Doha, Nov 15, IRNA -- Riyadh has been forced to stop operations against Hudaydah of Yemen once again following its consecutive failures and growing fatality of Saudi troops and their mercenaries.

Qatari Aljazeera network quoted informed sources as saying that Saudis have ordered their forces to stop attacks on Hudaydah.

The Saudi-led coalition, backed by the US, launched a new round of attacks on Hudaydah of Yemen on November 1, just one day after the US State Secretary Michael R. Pompeo's announcement that Yemen peace talks should start as of next month.

Pompeo's announcement came after public opinion pressure on the US government and Saudis to stop Yemen war following murder of Jamal Khashoggi, the dissident journalist who opposed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

Based on reports available, the new round of attacks on Yemen has killed 200. The first day of the operations featured 30 air raids led by Saudis. The air raids are said to reach as many as 200.

Yemen's Defense Minister Major-General Mohamed Nasser al-Atefi said the enemy had deployed forces on the west banks needed for occupation of 10 countries.

He said the enemy has failed despite all its forces and equipment as well as media publicity and extensive facilities.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in the past 48 hours, more than 280 invaders, including 10 of their commanders, were either killed or injured in the Yemeni forces' operations.
