5 civilians killed in Saudi airstrike on Sana'a

IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency

Tehran, May 27, IRNA -- Saudi jet fighters bombed the Yemeni capital of Sana'a Saturday, killing five people and wounding 13 others.

Al-Mayadeen news network reported that the Saudi warplanes bombarded parts of Sana'a including installations of the Yemeni oil company several times Saturday.

The death toll in Saudi airstrikes against the Yemeni capital is likely to increase, Al-Mayadeen said.

The jet fighters of the Saudi-led coalition also bombarded the northern governorate of Sa'dah several times Saturday morning, killing three children and wounding 15 others.

Meanwhile, Yemeni official news agency Saba reported that over the past 24 hours coalition warplanes bombarded five governorates of Yemen, killing 17 civilians.

In March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies including the United Arab Emirates launched an aggression on Yemen in a bid to return to power deposed Yemeni president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi. Riyadh and its allies have made no military achievements through their aggression except for turning the impoverished country into ruins
