Blast kills 13, injures 31 in eastern Afghanistan

Kabul, May 6, IRNA -- An explosion in a mosque in Khost City in eastern Afghanistan claimed the lives of 13 people and injured 31 others.
The accident happened in Yaqubi mosque while people were voting, Khost governor spokesman Salem Mangol said.
A woman was killed and a kid was injured in the deadly blast.
According to Khost Police spokesman Basir Bina, a bomb which has been laden in the mosque caused the explosion.
No group or individual has yet claimed the responsibility of the accident.
Khost is a city in eastern Afghanistan, and the largest city of Loya Paktia. To the east of Khost lie Waziristan and the Kurram Valley in Pakistan.
