Yemeni air defense shoots down Saudi coalition spy plane

Tehran, May 1, IRNA -- A Saudi spy plane was shot down by Yemeni air defense in northwestern Yemen, Arabic-language media 'Al Mayadeen' reported.
The accident happened in Baqim District, Saada Province.
Yemeni TV Channel 'Al Masirah' also reported that the Yemeni Air Defense and Popular committees downed Saudi spy plane.
This is while, Saudi-American jet fighters bombarded Baqim District 18 times.
Saudi Arabia and its regional allies attacked Yemen in March 2015 to bring back to power the deposed president of Yemen Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
Thousands of Yemenis have been killed in the attacks by the Saudi-US coalition and more than 2,000 have died due to a cholera epidemic.
